Recycling is the process of destroying old materials in order to create new ones. Upcycling is the process of using old materials, without destroying them, to create new ones. With the popularisation of home delivery, the amount of packaging waste has drastically increased. Pizza is usually ordered when we’re with friends. The idea of Pizza & Play is to upcycle pizza boxes into board games. Different games are printed on the front of the boxes, giving the otherwise boring boxes a new dimension. All the elements needed for play can be easily popped out from the carton packaging. There’s even a QR code on the box that leads to instructions for those not familiar with the game
