Project description

The project Croatian Phrases in Images problematizes standard Croatian speech in a positive and witty way. In this project, Croatian phrases are presented in the form of stickers of the WhatsApp platform. In addition to stickers, the phrases are designed into a leaflet intended for foreigners, which include their equivalents in English and Italian, and generally present a sympathetic view of frequent Croatian spoken expressions. Labels are illustrated in a way that replaces some of the most common phrases we use in everyday speech or digital communication, unaware of their visual meaning.
