Big companies collect huge amounts of private data on a daily basis. They know all about our personality, desires and fears. Who owns this information and why is it unavailable to us? Ctrl Shift is an add-on that gives the user an insight into his digital identity. While surfing the internet, the add-on protects him from unauthorized data collection, raises awareness of his digital footprint, takes care of his mental health and offers insight into the profile based on his previous activities. The goal of the project is to raise awareness about invisible data flows and redefine the experience of using the Internet through an environment that is more transparent and considerate for the user.
