Trobecove krušne peći — Radost Borjan Pavlek

Project description

Trobecove krušne peći is an iconic post-punk band founded in 1981. Their newest album is called Radost, meaning „joy“ in Croatian language. The front cover design questions the meaning of the noun and offers an alternative perspective on it – dystopian and stiff, as is the music recorded. The given atmosphere is a result of visual distortion of the noun created by a photogram dragged along the scanner and is a contradiction between its meaning and appearance. Also, the project allowed the designer to test some of his own font designs which contribute to the overall personal typographic collage.
