The design of the visual identity for the Mechatronics and Robotics program also involved the robot Miro, a humanoid robot on which the students had previously learned. Robots are a typical product of mechatronics; however, Miro is somewhat of a colleague as well, so they decided to include him in the process of creating the program’s visual identity. Miro, whose name is derived from the abbreviation of the program’s name MiR (Mechatronics and Robotics), has learned to recognize the letters that spell his name through machine learning and image analysis. The results of his learning were used as a basis for constructing the visual identity, which includes the logo and associated graphics.
