Memento Mori Kazinoti & Komenda

The guide for the exhibition Memento Mori showcases the archaeological research of the Salonitan Western Necropolis conducted in 1986-1987 in the course of the construction of the so-called Solin bypass. The archaeologists involved in this research unsuccessfully warned about the cultural destruction and had to rapidly investigate and save extremely valuable items contained within the tombs within 13 months. his guide simultaneously tells the story of the cultural values of individual exhibits that were almost covered by black asphalt, which inspired the color identity. Humorous illustrations convey the Romans’ cheerful understanding of the afterlife.
