Knin Fortress - Interpretation Center Clinica studio

Project description
The Knin Fortress, as one of the largest fortification complexes in Europe, holds special importance in Croatian history. The exhibition interprets the fortress’s millennial significance from the earliest archaeological explorations to the present day. The development of the fortress over the centuries is presented within the context of geopolitical events through models and multimedia displays. The main figures of the exhibition are King Zvonimir and Fra Lujo Marun—the founder of Croatian early medieval archaeology. The visual identity is inspired by medieval interlace motifs, with woolen tapestries as a central element, reflecting the key role of sheep farming in the community’s survival. The spatial design elements are inspired by medieval aesthetics in terms of both treatment and proportions.
