Project description

The publication represents an unfinished, posthumously edited book by musicologist Eva Sedak on the history of Croatian music of the 20th century. Editorially, it was conceived as an overview of preserved material from three periods of work on the manuscript. The design tries to show the internal heterogeneity of the material while maintaining the framework of a standard scholarly book. The typography suggests the context of the period of musical modernism. Texts are set unjustified to indicate the unfinished state of the project. The vertical lines on the margins of the book are a graphic element taken from standard musical notation and are a reference to the content of the formatted text.
