Project description

The project Dođite, doćemo analyzes, deconstructs and re-synthesizes the customs which shaped the Bosnian people thus designing the contemporary socialization ritual and its artifacts. By teaching the participants about the beauty of listening, the ritual searches for the values at the core of customs and hands them over to modern man. The work consists of contemporary interpretations of the sofra table and set for preparing Bosnian coffee, as well as an interpretation of „kesa“ custom. Inspired by the old sofra table, the graphic on the surface of the sofra table is showcasing Bosnian friendship symbols designed to be revealed by leaving traces during a certain time of socializing at the sofra.
