Designing in Coexistence – Reflections on Systemic Change Ivica Mitrović

Project description
The discursive program of the Croatian exhibition at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale included a series of workshops and talks (Venice, Ljubljana, Split, Motovun, Milan and Lonjsko polje) focused on the future of design and architectural practice and education. The results were compiled in the book Designing in Coexistence – Reflections on Systemic Change along with a series of essays and documentation of workshops attended by 120 participants from around the world. The program reflects on different forms of education, outside the safe zones of academic institutions, and resulted in a series of new approaches, tools and methods that may become part of the curriculum for the 21st century.
