Traditional Croatian Tattoos Nina Bačun, Sara Dumančić

Project description
The packaging design for temporary tattoos aims to educate about a forgotten practice of traditional culture. In an effort to preserve and share a part of history, the brand Traditional Croatian Tattoos consults designers in order to protect intangible heritage from careless interpretations. From the combination of serif and sans-serif typography to the choice of paper and format, as well as the art direction of photography, the design seeks to depict the complexity of the centuries-old customs of traditional tattooing and the meanings of the symbols used. This approach is not only meaningful for the local culture but also captivating for tourists eager for knowledge.
