Project description
Due to their economically dependent position and the costs of living, many women who went through abuse have to return to their abusers for food and shelter — for themselves and their children. The campaign Price of Life, run by the Croatian Women’s Fund, raised awareness about financial dependence on abusers. The outdoor campaign took statements from violence victims and covered them with stickers showing the prices of everyday necessities, utility bills, and rent — visually depicting how financial dependence can stifle freedom. The TV clip mimics supermarket advertisements to capture the viewers’ attention and then delivers the sobering message that life, indeed — has a price.
