The installation functions as a material manifestation of an artistic concept that talks about “ghosting” through the medium of photography, and as a presentational aspect of Sara Pukanić’s exhibition (Organ Vida 2022). Appearing pleasant and inviting, the installation communicates feelings of insecurity, discomfort, exposure and disorientation through materials and spatial relationships interacting with the visitor. Such sensory entry into the intimate experience confronts the visitor with a set of emotions resulting from ghosting, reflecting the destabilization of one’s own reality. The ambient aims to emphasize the potential of sharing these feelings in order to analyze and demystify the phenomenon of ghosting, but also a kind of self-healing.
