Project description

The project is based on the social development of Ličko Pounje and connects it with urban communities through craftivism. It uses traditional knitting, a representative of material heritage, as the basic structure of the communication system. Combined with open source technology, it enables the creation of a new medium between activists and marginalized groups. Technology makes it possible to overcome space-time barriers, while crafts represent a link between man and his origin and past. It brings together old and new, rural and urban, knitters and activists, and carries a message about the equality of different identities in the contemporary context.
