EMPA Studio Sonda

Project description

The series of folding furniture for kindergarten children was designed for Sonda Creative Center workshops, based on the “Design thinking” principle which develops empathy and ideas throughout the learning process. The chairs and table need to be assembled in pairs, which connects children and develops empathy, which is where the name (EMPA) comes from. They also serve as an introduction to the workshops, since the children get to know the concept of design through the creation of the furniture/space. The practical aspect is also important, since at the end of the workshops the furniture is put away, taking up minimal space, ready for reuse.
