Assisted communication via PECS starter kit Eleonora Matijašević

Project description

PECS starter kit was created in collaboration with a special education teacher with the intention of being used in primary education with children with disabilities. The application of the PECS method as an aided communication tool contributes to learning, communication and development of students’ self-control, which leads to improved communication while eliminating negative forms of behavior in inclusive conditions. The goal of the project is to enrich and improve the lives and treatment of children with complex communication needs. In accordance with inclusive design principles, all the materials, typography, colors and shapes were carefully chosen.
