30th Music Biennale Zagreb Sven Sorić & Hrvoje Spudić
The starting point for the concept of designing the visual identity of the 30th Zagreb Music Biennale is that its identity consists of both image and sound. This was achieved by reinterpreting the sound recording in the form of a graph of sound wave amplitudes per time unit. Such a record is visually manifested as a series of parallel lines that vary in their density. In addition to creating a simple but flexible identity system, the specificity of language reduced to a variable relationship of neutral surface and line is that its radical simplicity and non-narrative stand out in the visual cacophony of everyday urban space.
