The Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka Studio Sonda

Project description
The Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka is known as a theatre that thoughtfully combines the tradition of a national theatre, with modernity and social relevance. In the new visual identity, the stage, as one of the key symbols of the theatre, opens diagonally, putting things into focus from a different perspective. A graphic element is obtained which suggests a letter Z (as in Zajc). The dynamics of the stage opening varies from case to case, allowing the game of diversity, without ever losing its recognizable feature. The interchangeable use of modern and serif typography additionally emphasizes the complementary contrast of duality of the theatre which balances tradition and modernity.
