The days when we ate only food from our immediate surroundings are long gone. Delivering hot meals and ordering food online has become more than everyday fact. For the transport, we need packaging which, unfortunately, quickly ends up in a pile of waste. The challenge was to develop a fully renewable, low-cost envelope with thermal protection for use in food transport channels. Seaweed Wrap is made of seaweed and paper, it has an extremely good heat insulation coefficient and is light for transport. It is easily adaptable to the necessary shapes and dimensions of packaging while preserving the product from breakage.
