Polari Dominik Brandibur

Polari fashion collection explores nonverbal communication through clothing within the LGBTIQ+ community today and over the past three centuries. The goal of this fashion collection is to sensitize the public to LGBTIQ+ themes, shed light on the lesser known history of the movement and the struggle for equality, also enable the audience to realize the importance of such themes. This collection has an research and activist component because I believe that dealing with this topic in a political climate hostile to the LGBTIQ+ community can be considered an activist and radical act of rebellion against established norms of a society that does not accept diversity and identity pluralism.
