The fourteenth issue of the journal K. — Girls’ Studies includes a cross-section of recent production in the field of girls’ studies dealing with issues of cultural understanding and representation of girls. The aim of this issue was to introduce girls’ studies as a young, interdisciplinary scientific field into the local and regional academic context, but also to introduce local topics into the field of girls’ studies. Since it is a collection of diverse texts, they should be read nonlinearly, with the help of a diagram of possible paths through the book.
