From the ecological problem of floods on one hand to the complete disappearance of water on the other, this year’s DAB invites all artists to answer the crucial question: what would happen if water disappeared, and how would the world around us look in that case? The visual identity, stemming from these extremes, is tied to elements of coastal views after floods and droughts. The resulting hybrid, created through analog graphics and later transformed into a 3D model, carries a futuristic charge filled with the melancholy of potential dystopia, but also playfulness, brightness, and fluid surrender with the belief in a (civilizational) positive leap and progress.
