Verdura App is a blog and information exchange service focused on easy progress tracking, archiving personal achievements, and sharing mutual advice. It has three key components: a virtual garden mirroring the user’s real one, seed exchanges, and an avatar of a mysterious plant that helps monitor its real growth. The concept is to create a virtual community and gamify the gardening process. The goal is to help amateurs take their first steps towards greening their environment. The project raises awareness about growing local varieties and supports them through donations from the list of indigenous plants of Dalmatia and Croatia.
