Project description
St. Nicholas is the presentation center and headquarters of the ICUA in Zadar. It is located in a protected cultural heritage space of the former monastery and church. This building complex remains lie on numerous archaeological layers originating from the prehistoric to modern periods. St. Nicholas is also the patron saint of sailors, fishermen, travelers and merchants. This sacred symbolism is humorously incorporated into the visual identity of the project. The exhibition design is inspired by the synergy of old and new, but also with the grid principle used by underwater archaeologists to mark important info about artifacts. The design invites visitors to experience the world of underwater archeology.
