Dalmeatia – local craft cultivation and Cultivated Meat Tasting Room is a speculative design project that explores the future of food and the impact of technology on meat production. It offers insight into a possible future scenario and examines the community’s reactions through the design of a fictional local cultivation facility. The project anticipates gastronomic offer trends in Split and, by situating the scenario in the near future, reflects the introduction of cultured meat to markets in Australia and the USA. It aims to critically reflect on the hyperinflation of hospitality venues and the city’s tourism offerings.
