DISPLACEMENT Planinska 7 Petra Slobodnjak

Over 15 years of living in a rented apartment in Zagreb’s Peščenica neighborhood, the author fostered friendships among tenants of various life, religious, and political beliefs. This social sculpture project is documented in a photo book composed of three sections printed on different papers, capturing the textures of life. The largest section includes the author’s photos and texts about the tenants’ lives of Planinska 7, resembling scenes from a play about a close-knit family with slightly strange habits. The second section features documentary photos from PUP7 events (Lectures at Planinska 7) and informal gatherings initiated by the author and her partner in their apartment.
