The Sublimated encourages emotional literacy in a fun, challenging and provocative way. It contains an illustrated book, collectible fidget toys and a card game that can be played alone or with others, with characters that layer on the reactive and physiological aspects of emotional processes. It helps the user recognise and mindfully respond to their own unconscious reactions through play and intimate connection, practicing self-awareness and balance. By turning emotions into personas, these products use the psychotherapeutic principle of practicing self-regulation in a receptive way regardless of the user’s age, playfully turning the emotional spectrum into a signage system.
