The catalog design for the exhibition With the Collection at MMSU Rijeka by David Maljković refers to his artistic process. The artist displayed a large number of objects from the museum collection on a long, massive shelf. The leitmotif of the exhibition catalog is the ready-made use of a PDF catalog generated from the institution’s internal database of objects. It runs through all pages of the publication as an additional graphic layer that is in a dynamic dialogue with the rest of the content. Objects from museum collections are thus continuously present in the publication – around 700 of them, pictured on miniature reproductions in the right margin of the book.
