This book is designed as a guide through women’s history of Croatia. It will introduce you to the life stories of fierce women from Croatia and take you to interesting locations. The space that surrounds us is a materialization of the human presence, but when we talk about women, also absence. Evidence that heritage is essentially patriarchal is all around us. The guidebook is an attempt to map this “absent presence” in the hope that we will contribute to the creation of a more complete and just image of the world. The guide contains maps of Croatia and Zagreb with marked locations that you can visit. This book was made by women, from the text and illustrations, to the design and typography.
