HD – Concert Hall Kazinoti & Komenda

Project description

Identity and signage for HD — Concert Hall of the Hrvatski Dom Split. The building was built in the spirit of Art Nouveau architecture, designed by Kamilo Tončić, and opened in 1908 with the purpose of gathering Split’s cultural, artistic and sports associations. The idea of the monogram was taken from the wall decorations in the main hall, within which graphic lines are integrated as a metaphor for musical notation and stringed instruments. The construction of the Delvard typeface is based on art nouveau posters from the nineteenth century, it is a modern interpretation of that historical period. The signage takes over all the elements of the visual identity and makes them functional.
