The Buddy mobile app is intended to connect local and foreign students. The idea is that students are connected by common interests, for example, a foreign students looking for information about culture will be connected with a people of similar interests who will then be able to help them find what might interest them in new and unknown city. A local student, known as a “buddy”, can send a person a location that will be updated on his map, thus showing him interesting locations in his city. In this way, it is easier for foreign students to find their way around in an unfamiliar environment and consequently reduces anxiety, and enables them to find their way around a new location more quickly.
