Project description

The Per Speculum book series contains works preoccupied with the relationship that one writer establishes with another writer or artist, with another’s text or art — but it is clear that he finds himself there again, or something of his or her own. Per Speculum translates from Latin as “Through the Mirror”. The design of the book series is based on combining a defined colour palette with a reflective, silver tone. The title and the blurb thus emerge from the color of the book spine and enter into a relationship with the reflections in the silver. The vertical placement of the series title is repeated in the pagination, creating a tension between typographical elements.
