Project description

The Daniil Ivanović Kharms play adaptation, originally titled Elizaveta Bam, is a twisted piece that masterfully illustrates the absurdity of interpersonal interactions while appearing to say nothing. An upside-down house is a metaphor for cyclicity, perpetual rotation, ill-defined connections, relentless harassment, and an ideal opportunity to flee. “Where the wooden house stands, and fireplace sparkles, and where night mosquitoes hit the windows, live they.”

The work is not in competition for the award.
