Dry Stone Walls of Hvar Studio Tumpić/Prenc

Project description
The interpretation point Dry Stone Walls of Hvar was designed to acquaint visitors with lesser-known facts about dry stone wall construction. The stylized shelves are shaped like stones, which form a meaningful whole when folded, thus representing a dry stone wall. At the same time, this interpretation point attracts visitors with interactive strategies, so behind every “stone” there is a door or drawer. By opening the door, the secrets of these wall cavities are revealed, from the construction technique to the animals that live in it, while by opening the drawers, visitors enter the virtual world. It allows them to travel to Hvar villages built in dry stone wall construction, as well as virtual dry stone wall construction.
