Local speech is not just one of the means of communication but also literal formulation of tradition, cultural praxis and mores. Dubrovnik had developed its specific speech throughout the history under different influences as part of its identity. Today in conditions of global societal challenges, its citizens are slowly losing the battle to preserve way of living that is bound up with the local culture and derives directly from tradition. As young generations are the ones that ensure the continuity of local speech preservation, the question arises as how applying different techniques and methods in certain medias can make the young ones interested in revitalization of their local speech.
