Želimir Periš: Boneleg Bride Lana Cavar & Narcisa Vukojević

Project description
The Boneleg Bride is a novel about the life of a witch Gila. The locations of the novel are from Herzegovina, Dalmatia, Istria all the way to Imperial Vienna, and the time of the action extends nonlinearly through the 19th century. The novel is populated by a multitude of characters who create a network of intriguing relationships. The style is distinctly eclectic.
The cover design follows the same track — custom-made letters of excessive tuscan serifs in the title; the name of the author in the transitional serif typeface; a pattern formed by two symbols: the symbol of the female deity Mokoš from Slavic mythology and the Christian symbol Mater Misericordia. Screen and blind printed on canvas.
