As part of the project Rijeka EPK, 16 writers spent a month in the Kvarner area, each one of them at a different location, creating the collection of short stories: Authors’ Boras

There, at sea, the blowing wind Bora often breaks seawater into tiniest droplets and foam creating a thin, misty layer, the so-called “smoking sea” (lat. fumarea).

The design of the book therefore seeks to evoke the emotional and physical experience of Bora. The text is printed on tracing paper in such a way that the letters overlap and resemble watery dust. But turning the page brings the clarity and allows reading, which is also very characteristic of the Bora – known to be the mind-clearing wind.
