Project description
The Annual Report of the Meštrović Gallery reflects Ivan Meštrović’s monumentalism and expressiveness. The cream paper evokes sketches he transformed into 3D forms. The design highlights the gallery’s whiteness, emphasizing the purity and simplicity of the space, while the lavender scent on the pages evokes the Mediterranean spirit. For breaks in the layout, images of sculptures from the gallery were printed on tracing paper, allowing text to overlay the most illuminated parts. This blend of classical and modern elements, with a dynamic layout and spatial experimentation, mirrors the gallery’s artistic expression and architectural context of gallery.
