Klimt and the Far East Rašić+Vrabec

Project description
The exhibition Klimt and the Far East reveals the influences of Far Eastern and African art on the famous painter. It presents 13 special items from Gustav Klimt’s personal collection. This temporary exhibition reveals how Chinese iconography, Japonism and African customs influenced the creation of his most famous works. The objects were borrowed from the collection of the Leopold Museum of Vienna and were exhibited under special conservation conditions in the impressive interior of the Ceremonial Hall in the Sugar Palace.
