Project description

The publication Plates & Plinths by David Maljković was printed for the exhibition at the Kula Gallery in Split. Both the name and graphic design concept refer to the archaic graphic term “plates” – picture reproductions printed on separate sheets of publications. The design is also based on emphasized materiality, which is why different types of paper and printing are present: brown bookbinding cloth screenprint with gold, intense yellow endpapers, kunstdruck with color reproductions and natron paper printed in offset black ink.
