SAL⊥ Leskovar studio

SAL⊥ is a specially designed vessel that functions as a portable saltworks to produce small quantities of natural sea salt. It was inspired by a sustainable production process that has not changed in the Mediterranean for millennia. SAL⊥ reveals the secret of salt production, from crystal formation to harvesting. The resulting salt is harvested authentically, using a T-shaped tool reminiscent of traditional wooden salt picker tools in the Mediterranean. As part of the project, SAL⊥ studio maps the authentic flavours of the Mediterranean, adding concentrated sea water (brine) from various traditional Mediterranean salt pans to its collection.
