Project description

RAFF is a festival of investigative, fiction and documentary films, a new platform for filmmakers to address topics of public interest. RAFF filmstrip is a document and basis of traditional values of true investigative journalism. The designed typography was implemented within perforations of filmstrip. The modulary identity of the Festival marks information or environmental elements with RAFF filmstrip, while other elements convey the iconography of film. The primary tone scale is based on the complementary pair of the Rab identity and film colors. The analogous process of photograph making was chosen as the basis of the concept of the RAFF FRAME award. Film slides that carry the information are placed in a RAFF tapes space.
